Mystery Fire Destroys 650 Seized Vehicles

Around 650 vehicles that had been seized, abandoned or had been recovered after being stolen, were gutted in a fire which broke out at the Goshamahal Stadium on Wednesday morning and the police, the custodians of the vehicles, could do nothing.
According to Shahinaya-thgunj police inspector Sathaiah, one of the constables on duty at the stadium, where the cops keep the vehicles, spotted smoke coming from the vehicles at about 9.30 am and alerted the police control room and the fire control room.
Six fire tenders from Chandulal Baradari and other stations and 20 water tankers from the Water Board took almost two-and-a-half hours to bring the blaze under control but by then the damage had been done. Police said the registration numbers of the vehicles might be traced through their chassis but it was a long shot as the chassis of many vehicles had melted. Goshamahal ACP D. Srinivas said they are collecting the details of the vehicles from traffic cops and other police stations.

As of now we don't have an exact figure as to how many vehicles were there in the stadium," he said. When asked about compensating the owners of the vehicles, police sources said that it would be up to the courts adding that a petition would be filed in the court regarding the accident.
Meanwhile, the cops have registered a fire accident case and have started investigating. While the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, arson is not being ruled out. Deputy commissioner of police, West Zone, Stephen Ravindra said they were investigating the case and were not ruling out the involvement of suspicious elements in the incident.
A CLUES team collected samples. Of the 650 vehicles that were gutted, there were 33 autorickshaws, five Maruti Omnis, four Qualis, three jeeps, 266 Bajaj Chetak scooters, 285 motor bikes and 50 push carts. The vehicles were guarded by two constables and two home guards around the clock in two shifts.

Hyderabad, December 09: Tension prevailed in the Rein Bazaar area of Old city after mysterious fire took place in the Ashoorkhana Imambada (A place of worship for Shia community).
The incident took place after the completion of Friday prayers and the police officials present on bandobust near Mecca Masjid rushed to the spot.
In the mysterious fire the furniture and carpets present in the 400-year-old Ashoorkhana were completely gutted.
Fire tenders from Moghalpura fire station were rushed to the spot and the fire was brought under control immediately. Sensing trouble between the two sects Rapid Acton Force was deployed at the spot, meanwhile the forensic CLUES team collected the samples from the spot.
Analysis
These unusual fires are being caused all over the world by an unrecognized force: ultra-low frequency sound, far below the audible level of most humans.
